A transformative chapter unfolds in South Fulton as we dismantle barriers to healthcare accessibility with the unwavering support of Grady Health. In response to the critical need identified in 2022, when legislation was drafted to declare a healthcare state of emergency in Fulton County, efforts are now directed toward eradicating the label of a “healthcare desert.” The closure of two hospitals served as a catalyst for Grady Health to rise to the occasion, prioritizing not just their own sustainability, but also the well-being of the entire community. Currently developing 8 out of 40 acres, with 32 more recently acquired, the aim is to expand the emergency room into a comprehensive, full-service hospital. This bold vision aligns with our goal to move Fulton County forward over the next two decades, ensuring equitable healthcare for all residents.
