### East Point Welcomes New City Manager!
East Point, GA – The City of East Point is pleased to announce the appointment of Redmond Jones as the new City Manager.
With over 25 years of public and private sector experience, Mr. Jones brings a wealth of expertise in leadership, policy development, project delivery, and organizational management to his new role. His extensive career includes founding and managing a successful consulting firm, as well as holding various leadership positions in local governments across the nation, including cities like Las Vegas, NV, and Fort Worth, TX.
Mr. Jones’s recent role as Deputy City Manager in Iowa City highlights his ability to foster collaboration and offer innovative solutions to complex challenges, particularly in urban planning and community development.
Known as a visionary and multi-disciplined manager, he emphasizes aligning organizational initiatives with institutional goals, making him well-equipped to lead East Point into its next chapter. His focus on human resources, labor relations, and program implementation is complemented by a broader vision for economic and social development in the communities he serves.
As an effective communicator and negotiator, Mr. Jones has successfully managed numerous development agreements, ensuring sustainable growth and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
