Exciting Developments at Town Center Park!
Construction is progressing on The Boardwalk at Town Center, a state-of-the-art park situated behind Johns Creek City Hall.
This innovative project will feature an amphitheater, terraced seating for concert viewing, and ample 15-foot-wide trails, along with pedestrian plazas and scenic pond overlooks.
The amenities will be interconnected by a boardwalk leading to a three-acre constructed wetland aimed at enhancing water quality and managing stormwater for future development in the Town Center area. Collectively, these upgrades are set to transform the Town Center into a vibrant destination.
Currently, the 15-foot-wide concrete trail linking the upper and lower ponds is nearly complete, pending a final section near Johns Creek Parkway and Medlock Bridge Road.
Both the west and north overlook decking are finished, with construction on the amphitheater deck set to commence shortly. The terraced seating for the amphitheater and west overlook has been poured, complemented by several shade structures installed throughout the park for visitor comfort.
Landscaping efforts are underway at various locations within the park, featuring plants around the constructed wetlands to filter pollutants from stormwater.
Crews are scheduled to construct the amphitheater structure and continue pouring concrete trails around the upper pond. Littoral shelves will be installed to create a buffer for pedestrians while enhancing water quality. Landscaping installations will also progress around the lower pond.
The project is expected to wrap up by summer 2026.
