Council member Andrea L. Boone and Grammy Award-winning artist T.I. Harris recently celebrated the **20th anniversary** of the Harris Community Works Turkey Giveaway. This grassroots event has evolved into a cherished Westside Thanksgiving tradition.
During the event, attendees enjoyed a hot lunch, with **over 2,000 turkeys** distributed through a drive-up at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church. Moreover, turkeys were hand-delivered, complete with all the necessary fixings, to **400 seniors**.
Special recognition goes to all the partners who contributed to this year’s success, including Mayor Andre Dickens and organizations such as the City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation, Morehouse College, Comcast, Amazon, Norfolk Southern, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Humana, Kroger, and Publix.
