On December 2, the Design Review Board in Milton will review six demolition requests, including three involving City properties. As outlined in their public meeting protocols, the Design Review Board evaluates building designs and demolition requests. The seven appointed members provide critical recommendations to the City’s Community Development Director regarding new site developments and modifications to existing structures.
The agenda for Tuesday features several significant demolition requests:
– A ranch-style house and three accessory structures at 13490 Hopewell Road on a 3.97-acre property near Bethany Bend.
– A second ranch-style home and two outbuildings at 14750 Hopewell Road, where a new home is proposed on a 2.92-acre lot near Francis and Cogburn roads.
– A split-level home with a shed at 13580 Hopewell Road, part of a designated City of Milton greenspace.
– A deteriorating house and garage located at 1000 Lackey Road, situated within the 104.6-acre Lakhapani Preserve, though a red shed will remain.
– A house, carport, and two sheds on a 2.48-acre City-owned parcel at 2545 Bethany Bend, adjacent to North Park.
– An 872-square-foot house along with accessory structures and a gravel driveway at 13995 Hopewell Road, located south of Redd Road in a 2.48-acre area.
For this meeting, no Courtesy Reviews, Final Reviews, or New Business items are on the agenda. However, the Design Review Board will revisit and vote on their meeting schedule for 2026.
