Santa Claus is coming to town soon – and so are our holiday events.
The City looks forward to welcoming friends and neighbors at several beloved popular festivities throughout December. While each one is unique, collectively these are all fun, festive, family-friendly gatherings that speak to Milton’s small-town feel that we all know and love.
So mark your calendar now for:
• CHRISTMAS IN CRABAPPLE on DECEMBER 6
People will flock to Broadwell Pavilion in downtown Crabapple for the annual kick-off of Milton’s holiday season, culminating (as it always does) with the lighting of our community’s planted Christmas tree.
Before then (the event runs from 2 to 6 p.m.), attendees can enjoy hot chocolate and food truck creations, jump on a giant holiday-themed inflatable, decorate cookies, watch Christmas movies or the SEC championship on a big screen, and do a whole lot more. Santa Claus will be on-site, too, posing for free professional pictures with whomever wants to say hello.
• PANCAKE BREAKFAST with SANTA on DECEMBER 13
Jolly Old St. Nick returns exactly one week later to Milton, this time to Fire Station 44 off Highway 9. He’ll be there once again to take pictures with and take requests from children. In the Station’s bay, meanwhile, visitors can enjoy a complimentary breakfast served up by Milton firefighters.
There’s no cost for this event, which goes from 8 to 11 that Saturday morning, nor are advanced sign-ups required. Just come ready to eat, groove to holiday tunes, perhaps stand in line a bit for the chance to see Santa, and be part of a long, proud, cozy Milton tradition. And if you come, please bring a new, unwrapped toy for our Toy Drive!
• MILTON MENORAH LIGHTING on DECEMBER 15
Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights, runs this year from December 14 to December 22. And yet again, we are pleased to welcome Chabad of North Fulton to our city to run the annual Milton Menorah Lighting.
The action starts that Monday at 5 p.m. at Broadwell Pavilion. There will be good food, good company, and the lighting of the Chabad’s oversized, traveling menorah (which goes all around our region every Hanukkah). Anyone is welcome to attend.
• TEA PARTY WITH MRS. CLAUS on DECEMBER 22
This event launched last year and was an instant success, with spots quickly filling up and everyone leaving the festivities merrier than ever. We’ll be taking sign-ups for the 2025 edition starting at noon on Monday, December 1, for Milton residents. (Non-resident registration opens December 15 if there’s availability.) On those dates, you can add your name to the list (if there’s still room) by going to www.miltonga.gov/Registration and clicking the “Milton Community Events” tab.
Once again, attendees will be treated to storytime and generally quality time with Santa’s better half, as well as several other special guests. They’ll sip tea or liquid equivalents, plus snack on tea party-appropriate foods. The event is free, with a limit of two adults per family and no registration required for kids under two.
We hope you and your family are as excited as we are about all the events mentioned above. We can’t wait to see you at them, just like we can’t wait for Christmas!
