Fulton County Seeks Volunteers for 2026 Point in Time Count
Fulton County’s Department of Community Development is actively looking for volunteers to assist with the 2026 Point-in-Time Count (PITC), a crucial annual survey aimed at understanding homelessness in the region.
This countywide effort helps identify individuals experiencing homelessness and aims to inform community responses to this pressing issue. Residents and local businesses can engage by participating in this initiative, ultimately contributing to more effective solutions.
The Count will occur on January 22 in South Fulton and January 23 in North Fulton. Volunteers will receive special training and orientation ahead of the event to prepare them for their roles in the initiative.
Stanley Wilson, Director of the Fulton County Department of Community Development, emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating, “Previous surveys estimated that between 241 to 339 people experience homelessness in Fulton County. Community participation is vital to understanding their needs and addressing this challenge.”
Volunteer registration opens on November 6, 2025. Those interested can sign up by following this link: See more by checking out their page at: https://fulton.pointintime.info
