Transforming Biking with Art and Sound!
According to the article, they are kicking off #Biketober 2025 at the Public Art Futures Lab, bringing sound, movement, and community to Atlanta’s streets with an innovative program that transforms electric cargo bikes into roving sound instruments, envisioned by Georgia Tech School of Music’s L42i Lab.
This special two-part program includes:
• Artist Talk (11-12:30, Public Art Futures Lab @UndergroundAtlanta): featuring Kaffe Matthews @kaffematthews, Dom Whiting @dom_whiting, and Henrik von Coler in a global discussion about bikes, music, and sound-based public art.
• Group Ride (1-3 PM): rolling out from the topside of Underground Atlanta through Midtown, ending at the Beltline with MOBB Cycling Club, Red Bike & Green Atlanta, and the BIKES! fleet. All levels are welcome, ensuring no one is left behind.
They invite participants to discover how sound, technology, and movement can transform urban experiences. Presented by Public Art Futures Lab, Fulton County Arts & Culture, Georgia Tech School of Music, L42i, Edison Bicycles, Underground Atlanta, MOBB Cycling Club, and Red Bike & Green Atlanta.
